Kantha is a traditional Indian quilt embroidery technique and a rather exquisite one. Crazy quilts involve patchwork quilting. Applique is another embroidery commonly used for quilting. Redwork embroidery is quite common on quilts.

Quilting involves filling up fiber or layers of cloth between two to cloth layers and sealing with evenly spread stitches. These are used as bed covers, quilts and for other covering purposes.
